Can someone tell me what these intakes hoses go to?

few intakes I look at only have one or none this has 3 please tell me what they go to and if they actually do go to something on a 2g tsi here

The biggest one is for your bov return tube, So you can recirculate your blow off valve.
the two smaller ones... one is for the charcoal canister, Located under your battery tray, And the other one is for your valve cover.

THANK YOU! you're awesome man, any idea how much a 2g turbo gives off psi wise and how much a 2g's bov can hold psi wise? I read a 1g's holds 22 but I am curious what a 2gs can hold since it leaks

2g bov will leak anything past 11-12psi, so get a different one first.

t25 stock turbo(2g turbo's) will do 12psi with stock boost control. get a aftermarket boost controller to turn it up. but remember, anything past 16psi and the t25 turbo is just blowing hot useless air.

and get a boost gauge.

oh and those intake tube do absolutely nothing. maybe makes the bov louder in some cases and quiter in others. just get a filter+adapter and save the money and use it on other things unless youre going for the "bling" factor.

as many as I have to till someone can give me an actual answer I have a limited time to order my shit and I need answers.

So this is better than a short intake? People battle it out over ram and cold this would be super short what would I be lacking by doing it this way?

Also I want to mention get a small inline fuel filter from Autozone or some such auto place and splice it into the crankcase breather tube going into your piping. It keep a little more oil out of the intake. An even better solution would be to buy a catch can. I wouldn't bother with a cold air intake and risking since you have an intercooler.

the cheaper K&N would do exactly the same as the other one. the filter is just a little bigger. so if you want you engine bay packed even more full than it is by the $115 one. if not, save some cash and buy the $45 one.

The inside diameter was very small and I ended up just putting my stock intake back on. The car runs a lot smoother with the stock intake.,

How about you just use the search button or use the dsmtuners parts catalogue and it will show you exactly what is recommended for dsms. You are in no rush as there is always auctions for this shit.

Is this filter any good or reuseable? I am wondering if it's worh getting a K&N and how well it would fit

If you are in this huge hurry like you say you are, just get JET on dsmstyle to build you an intake outta SS. It will take him maybe an hour to make, wouldn't have to pay for shipping, and you'd not have to wait on shipping. Plus buying local is great because you'd be helping out or local MN scene. It would prolly function better because that ebay one, the inside of it just looks like it's cast or sumthin, just not smooth at all. JET's might not be as pretty, but probably will function better, and you can always polish it if you need it pretty cuz it'll be made out of SS. Just a thought if you need this thing asap.
