I can't figure out where these 2 hoses that come off the intake pipe go? This is s 1995 elipse gsx. I belive they're vaccum hoses because the blow-off valve wont go off when the motors runing.

Also, this little metal thing on the left of the head, does a hose go over it? if so where to?

I sure can. One goes to the charcoal canister, which should be under the battery tray, near the firewall. The other goes to the valve cover. The third, smallest nipple goes to the boost control solenoid; if you have a boost controller, use a vacuum cap of the appropriate size to plug this off, as you will run a tad lean and also introduce unfiltered, unmetered air into the turbo and then the motor. Ive edited your photo to illustrate a bit :thumb:

One more thing, while those hoses are of a very pretty blue, they will not hold up to oil exposure and engine bay temps for long and will fall apart. Also, do not use that type of hose for your blowoff valve because it has a tendancy to become soft and collapse under vacuum once it gets hot, resulting in a poorly functioning BOV, which will cause compressor surge and take out your turbo after a while...

Good paint skills.

I just went out to take pictures of my car but I forgot that it's all stock for smog at the moment. The smaller one goes to the valve cover and the larger one goes to the charcoal canister.

I've had those hoses on my car for over 10k miles and they still look new.

Mine became very soft when hot and eventually became hard as a rock and split open a bit.

wheres the boost control solenoid? does it matter that the hose you said that goes to the valve cover goes to the charcoal can and the other to the valve cover because the hoses fit better that way or does it have to be like that?

I'm not sure if you could switch them although I don't see why not they both start at the same place. I just said how mine is set up. The big one falls off the valve cover for me.
