So im practically done putting my car back together and I found a couple things that are stumping me. The wire I believe is for the starter but I dont know where to connect it and I pulled these hoses from behind the intake mani after I thought I had plugged every possible place up.
Thanks

The others look like they might be the ones that go directly to the bottom of the filler neck for the radiator.

Thats what I thought at first too but its strapped to the same tube as the positive cable

Ok I just went through the gallery and your right about it going to the battery. But if you were right about the hoses wouldn't my radiator be leaking?

You did a rebuild? Did you take anything off the firewall? Those look like throttle body vacuum lines, could be to the EGR valve. Let us know.

No those are vaccum hose and I was just using the filler neck as a referance point. they should hook about 3 inches below the filler neck.

Ok ill check them out tomorrow and let you know. Thanks

Ok, so I figured out there was a random ground cable that is suppose to be bolted to the intake, hooked that up and now the engine will crank but wont start. Think its the fuel pump since I pulled the line from the rail and theres no fuel coming out when I crank it....but anyway, I couldnt figure out where the hoses go to, its not the egr valve and I didn't see anything underneath the water neck. Anyone else have any ideas?

One other place I can think of is to the back of the intake manifold. Might just check your lines and check the filter first. And make sure that if you had your filter off that the flow is going the right way. Also I had a friend sounds really dumb but it did happen he bought a car and put the motor in went and bought a fuel pump went to put it in and turned out the gauge didn't work and it said there was gas so he bought a fuel pump for nothing (lucky he could return it) just because there was no gas.

Well there is one thats going parallel to the intake manifold on the same bracket as the four emission ones, its kind of hidden if your looking from the front of the car. But if it helps theres two hoses that are kind of strapped together so they must go right next to eachother. Lol I filled up my tank before I cranked her but I can't hear the fuel pump turning on so I know its got something to do with that.

sometimes there is a vaccum diagram on the underside of the hood mabey that would help? also can you take a pic of the whole side of the engine?

Go to your local parts dealer and get service manual. Might cost you $20.00 it will have a complete diagram of where all your vacume lines should run. Plus it will come in handy with any other project you undertake.:thumb:

Alright so heres the update. I got my dads buddy who use to be a mechanic come over and do it for me. All the lines connected to the the back of the intake manifold somewhere except for one I think went to the evap canister....or came from don't really remember. But anyway hope this helps others in the future
