Those lines go to your water pipe that sits on the front of the motor, behind the turbo... let me see if I can find a picture.

As for the pulley and bracket, no you dont need it. If you are AWD you will need to use something for a spacer to bolt the half shaft up correctly.

Top goes to the little nipple off the pipe closest to the water pump.

The bottom goes to that metal line that runs to the waterneck

does it really matter if you put the top and bottom ones into the right way.

does it matter if you reverse the flow of the water through the cooler?

If the rest of your plumbing is 90 you will not have anything to hook the heat exchanger up to. The 90 turbo used a external oil cooler (no water lines).

As for the rest of the parts if you are running without the AC all those brackets can be disposed with.:thumb:

Oh this is a 91 Talon TSI FWD
I think I've got this figured out
Does every thing look right?

And for this last one can i just plug these lines on the TB? And the pipe coming up out of the coolent pipe runs to the thermostat housing correct?

Yes you got the cooler lines hooked up correct, as for bypassing the FAIV (unless you get a removel kit) the TB would not come up to temp and you would have a fast idle problem.

One goes to the vertical short stub (aprox1/2') coming out of the pipe in your last pic. and the other goes into the base of the Tstat. housing. The bigger fitting goes to the heater.

I hope that helps:thumb:
