can i run 93oct past 25 psi on my setup

Im just fighting intake temps more than anything. Literally i think if i had 50 degree ambient temps i would gain 100hp, no shit. Is my turbo too small to push 50lbs on 93oct? Its brand new and my next step is switching to e85, then again, when i get a 65 degree night and do pulls it fn screams. Im still on evo8mod1 tables, using their timing but i modded the maxoct tables. I just basically need to know, is my turbo too small. I knew the 6262 was the choice, i dont care about lag at all. its a weekend warrior car. Im kickin myself but i thought the 5858 was no small turbo. I have a very good feeling it will flow well into the 65lb range but afaik, its gonna take e85. My knowledge of timing DA altering is very limited. i get the basics but i know im missing something.

Soon, BLT tomorrow. My airflow/rev and fuel trims are changing every time i run the car any more. My open loop is still solid though and thats the problem. Im not running rich under boost so i must have a very small vac leak or a maf thats taking a shit slowly.... Ill figure it out soon, but still with my open loop being on, im just curious why im running into knock. But, i am trying to flow a tremendous amount of power on pump. Gotta be the problem. Ill post log up soon
 
You didnt mention anything about your intercooler. They can make a huge difference!

My last build started out with a street/strip FMIC. It was like 6" tall & 3" thick. I started to began to notice how hot it was getting at the track. When I moved up to a Full Race 11" tall / 4" thick core... I gained a solid 60+whp running the exact same boost & tune as teh smaller IC! The Race Core was awesome, it never even got warm! It always stayed at ambient temp.

Next time you run your car hard ...get out and feel the intercooler. Its ok if its a little warm on the intake end-tank, but (if you want max cooling) the core itself shouldnt be any warmer than the outside air. Especially on the output side. If your IC is warmer than ambient temps then you're loosing power.
 
The only way to know is by logging and tuning. If you can tune out any knock at a higher pressure and it's withing the turbos map then yes, you can. There are a lot of variable that come in to play and it's just going to be a test/fix/repeat until you aren't able to continue. Keep in mind there are IDC% to be within, knock tolerances, ignition timing gains, mechanical timing adjustments, airflow temperature etc.

Air is denser the colder it is and will still be cooler than ambient air at 80* after it's compressed and heated by the turbo.

Well, still no log, atleast its on my xp laptop that doesnt have wifi LOL. But i did make a log the other night of 2 2nd and 3rd gear pulls at 25psi. Hardly .4 of knockret.... It has to be intake temps and engine temps that are hurting me. But the weather is a changin, and im switching to e85. So forget 25psi, im lookin for 35psi! Ler me get some free time and ill put up that log if i saved i t tho. thanks fellas
 
No, im well aware of that. Getting a wally 450 and some 1600cc's. Also the mitsu housing is going to be restrictive as well as running internally gated. I just hate switching to external o2, just ugly. Might see how much i can get out of an internal gate before i switch
