General Can I adjust my TPS using my SAFC?

Is it possible to read TPS voltage with my SAFC? I'm not talking about 0% - 100%, I'm talking about the actual voltage the TPS is putting out.

And if it is possible, then what should the TPS voltages be at idle and at WOT?

Dont have my chiltons book handy but i believe you can adjust the TPS manually by moving unscrewing the bolts on the sensor and adjusting it with a multimeter, I believe WOT the sensor should read 5 volts....idle around .1V something like that....correct me if im wrong.

Yes, using the sensor test screen you can read out the voltage.

Nope.

Are you using the 2G TPS? It makes your life easier if you do.

Because the 2G IPS is inside the TPS and moves when you turn the TPS you adjust the TPS by where the IPS goes from closed to open once you have put the correct feeler gauge between the stop screw and the throttle pulley. Since your using a 1G throttle body the stop screw is the 1G IPS.

There are several posts by me in the archives detailing the correct 1G and 2G TPS adjustment procedure.

You really only need to adjust the TPS if it is reading below 90%, as this is the point where the car goes WOT. There might be some slack in the cable that is not allowing the throttle to fully, etc.

Not true. The TPS doesn't even read in percentages, it reads volts. You may be referring to the TPS setting of an AFC, but that's totally different and is adjusted for different reasons.

The TPS needs to be adjusted to ensure that it is calibrated for idle as well as WOT. There is a voltage reading at idle, and a voltage reading at WOT. I'm trying to find out what these readings are and which wires to tap into to read them, that's why I started this thread. When it is not adjusted correctly (as mine is not), my car takes like 10 minutes after a cold start for the computer to figure out what the heck is going on, and until then, it idles at like 2,000 rpm.
 
Ok, and back on my original topic please...

I realize that I do have a 2G TPS. I also figured out how to use my AFC to read the voltage of it. So, my question is, what should the voltage range be at idle, and what should it be at WFO?

You keep insisting that this is the case but it's not on a Turbo 2G.

There is a range of voltages (0.4 to 1.0v) that the TPS output should be in when the TPS has been correctly adjusted based on where the IPS opens. If the voltage is outside that range it's bad and should be replaced.

What the TPS reads at WOT depends on the mechanical linkage between the pedal and the throttle plate. Changing the TPS adjustment isn't going to fix any problems with the throttle not opening 100% and there isn't a factory specification of TPS voltage at WOT.
