Can a turbo pressurize the crank case?

Is there anyway a turbo with a bad seal could send pressure down the drain line?

I thought my rings were gone, and had blowby as oil was spraying out of everywhere! Oil cap even blew off.
PCV is just venting, not hooked to IM.

Then I got descent Compression numbers of 150 across on a stock 6bolt.
Turbo is a HY-35.

Do a leakdown test. Also do a boost leak test with the oil cap off and see if the valve seals are leaking boost into the head.

Here is an easy way to tell:

Do a boost leak test at the turbo inlet. If you get pressure coming out of the cap, dipstick and PCV then remove the UICP and do a boost leak test at the throttle body. If it still leaks you have bad valve seals. If not it's an internal turbo seal problem. It is normal to get a little bit by the seals when the car is not operating but too much air and it will be obvious.
