So I drive a 98 GS that i am converting into a turbo. The engine is fairly well built and I have decided to upgrade as much as i can on the engine before going turbo. Currently has eagle rods and JE 8:1 pistons. Next week I am getting a new intake manifold and 60mm TB.
However, after that I really want to get my Camshafts upgraded because I love the sound and I've read I can get some lower rpm torque gains. I was thinking getting stage 3 but I have read some places that the stock springs will work with that just fine, others say anything higher than stage 2 needs a new valvetrain. Can anybody drop some expertise on the situation for me?
