Yes.

How did you determine that they are in "good shape"? Those parts need to be inspected by a machinist to verify if they are usable as they sit or if they need machine work first.

well i have 2 cranks so I'm going to get them inspected to make sure they are good and the block just got back from the shop and everything is good I'm also getting the block board .20 over and then its getting rebuilt with all new parts does this sound we also reusing stock rods

any way you can tell to make shire a 6bolt block isn't a 7 bolt ? It's bare no crank in it

That block looks exactly like the block that nailmark was looking to sell me... He had it listed on ebay but has since updated the listing on ebay to not have anyone bid on it because it fell off the table it was on and the block is cracked and no longer useable...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...d=1,1&item=8024043965&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT

If that was because you bought it and he didn't want any issues with ending the listing early than you should be ok...

What Spyderman7 was talking about are the bearing caps... The front 2 caps are connected and the back two caps are connected by a brace... The center cap stands alone... Hard to tell for sure from the pics without seeing the bearing caps as well..

yes he just brung the block over and droped it off its now mine he said that it fell threw the table cuzz i wanted it i seen the ebay thing while we were talking about me geting it and went nuts for a min thinking he was trying to give me a bad block but then he told me why he wrote that on ebay and 5 hours latter he was here block looks good and he helped me out with a few ? i had with my talons even stood out in the cold to inspect my rebuilt head :thumb:

Hehe wasn't trying to impinge on his honor just making sure you got a good deal... Wasn't even sure it was him but the pics were identical to the ones he mailed to me...

Good to see you got a good block it was in great shape, I'm just waiting to see what the machine shop says about mine before I buy another block.. Will update you guys on Tuesday.

if anything is wrong with your block ill have 2 6bolt block as soon as i get around to pulling these engines but me and nailmark found out the one engine is rebuilt so im not shure what im doing wiht it yet might jsut sell it as whole but time will tell

It looks like a 6bolt block because I can see the holes for the 6bolt oil squirters. But,do you have the main caps that were machined to fit this block only.If you only got what is pictured, not such a deal.Billet caps from Jackson are a few hundred, then you need to get it line bored. If you have the caps the block looks good.

caps ? do you have a pic of what they look like i got something he called the griddle or something so your saying if i dont have the caps that cam on this engine i cant use anyother ones fomr another 6bolt ?

The "caps" are what hold the crankshaft in the block... On the 6 bolts there are three pieces.... the front two and the rear two are each joined by a brace that runs in the same direction as the crankshaft.. The center cap is a standalone.

ok i got to of the lil brige things that hold them on and one single one but the single one looks like the barring hass been chewed up pretty bad can i just replace that ? he said some thing like i wouldnt need it cuzz i am doing the b/s delete does this sound right to you ?
