Montreal,
I soon plan on purchasing a 95-98 Talon Tsi 5spd and what I would like to know is if there is anything in particular I should look out for in order to avoid getting stuck with a lemon. Any strange sounds I should listen for?

Id say drive it for starters. Check to see how it shifts(all gears very important), drives etc. Look to see if it appears to have oil leaks. Also you might want to check the turbo and make sure its good. (no shaft play and spins freely). Basicly you want to check over this car just like you would any other used car. Might want to watch the temp guage while your driving it to. A rise in temp could mean it has a leaking headgasket at worse. Good luck hope everything checks out. :thumb: Im sure ppl will throw in what I might have missed.
