So recently my motor had an engine knock and blew a piston- the motor had 300k miles already(original motor) and I’m just asking for advice for where is a good website or anywhere I can buy a new motor from and performance parts to build the upper head from, anything is helpful preciate

The DSM platform is so old now and the 420a being the unpopular motor it's unlikely you will find a ready to go motor.
Performance parts I would look through the vendor sites on this forum. Any competent machine shop should be able to assemble a motor if thats what you need.

Mopar hasn't produced these blocks since sometime around 2005. The cylinder heads stopped years before that. The last complete 420A engine probably rolled out in 2000 or so. Point is, you can't buy a new 420A anymore. You need to find a used engine to replace or rebuild.

You can still buy valves, springs, pistons, rods etc. You just need a good block to work with. There's plenty of good ones still around I'm sure, you just have to hunt for one. The iron blocks last a long time, usually a bore or hone makes them usable again.

Modern Performance is the 420A place I'd go to. The only reason to upgrade cylinder head parts N/A is if you're putting bigger cams into it - and they're almost gone forever. You really only need cams and valve springs, with a set of PT Cruiser 2.4L lash adjusters and a set of 2.7 V6 rocker arms out of a junkyard. Once you get into cams, you'll need tuning (which isn't easy), and higher compression, which can be achieved by shaving the head down. I'd advise you to just get another totally stock 420A out of a junkyard, it's cheap and will do everything you need.
