I have a 95 gs 420a that seems to be losing oil and coolant doesnt smoke nor does it leak its not even wet. I replaced the pcv valve and hosing also did a coolant flush i didnt do a compression test but it idles fine picks up good and is excellent on gas. im at a loss.:confused:

Sounds like your hg. Do a compression and a leak down test.

Could do a pressure test on the coolant system also. If check out jafromobile on YouTube, he got a lot of good how-to videos.

If you're not "Leaking It" and it's not there in the morning, then you're "Burning It"... You can swap the perenthesi'd words where applicable.

So that means, if you have no drips, and you're still topping off occasionally, then you are burning it.

How often are you filling the radiator?
How often are you adding to the Engine?

I'd put my money on a warped head or blown head gasket.

Alternatively you could have bad valve seals (Only smoke on startup)
And maybe you have a bad thermostat or radiator cap. This would cause your radiator to expell fluid upon pressurization and depending on the state of your burp tank, it could be spitting it onto the highway

did a compression test 120 120 120 120 idk the compression for each cylinder there even across the board i didnt disconnect any relays or anything but it seems low idk whats going on maybe i did it wrong it doesnt feel like im having issues idk maybe ill try with disconnecting the relays

Make sure you hold to throttle open while cranking, and engine should be warm. As far as loosing coolant, when ## motor is cold take off the radiator cap and start it, if it bubbles or pushes the coolant out right away, then you got a bad headgasket. Also check to see if coolant and oil are mixing.

Thanks buddy, just did everything but the compression test. Had the cap off started it, it didn't bubble nor did the coolant push away it stayed at the same level. I also checked coolant and oil, oil isn't milky coolant is bright green. The throttle being closed would effect it by almost 60 psi per cylinder though?I thought it was weird because the compression is solid 120 all across. another thing I noticed was that sometimes ill lose coolant and other times i can go 500 miles and the oil and coolant are fine. I will tell you it sat for a year. If it doesn't stop losing it ill change the valve seals piston rings and vc gasket and take it from there when my brother gets home I'll do a compression test with the throttle open and post results

The throttle being closed can definately affect it, it will restrict the air that the motor is trying to suck in. So the less air it can suck in the less air it has to build compression. For the most part the numbers in a compression test arent as important as all cylinders being uniform, since those compression gauges vary a good amount from one to the next. Was it only under certain conditions thst it lost coolant, because i have seen head gaskets that would only show signs of leaking when it was fully warmed and the pressure inside the cylinder was high. If theres no leaks then there is no reason for a motor to lose coolant. Try taking a sample of coolant and test it for HC's (hydrocarbons)

i put in water wetter topped it off and about 30 seconds later it went up to the top bout a 1/4 inch and bubbled a little could it be becuase off the water wetter

Yeah if theres hc's in your coolant then you got a bad head gasket. If it runs good It might only b a little blown but still blown. And with your coolant and oil mixing it will just do more damage the more you drive it. The glycol in coolant is very bad for your bearings in your motor. Itll save you money the sooner you fix it

Well ive had about 5000 miles on it stopped losing coolant and losing oil a little less. It was sitting for about 14 months

If you can try to run a leak down test on your car. A lot of times a car with a bad hg thats only a little blown will show almost no signs or symptoms and seem to lose no coolant. ive had a car with bad hg that had 175 psi compression on all four cylinders, but when it was driving at full temp and the cylinder pressure was high going uphill it wuld start pushin past the hg into the coolant port, car ran great too. I personally havent seen one that fixed itself, but thats just me.
