Hey guys. I think I already know the answer to this but want to make sure. I believe the bumpstops are supposed to go under the dust cover (ie- between top of dust cover and shock). However, when I disassembled the spring/strut assembly the bumpstop was sitting on top of the dust cover (on the cup portion). The rubber upper shock bushing was sitting directly on top of it. A shop installed the current springs several years ago. I think they may have messed up but I'm not positive.

I am in the middle of swapping my springs so any quick replys are greatly appreciated.:thumb:

Yup supposed to be under i.e. in that dust cover. Its supposed to go bump stop, cover, then bushing. Make sure the stop is facing the right way too, with the fatter side up.

Thanks!:thumb:

Does anyone know if having it on top of the dust cover would cause the car to ride lower than it should?
