building 420a without boosting

My name is corey and i am new to DSM. I recently bought a 95 Eclipse GS and i was wanting to build it up a little but i do not want to run turbo. The car already has a cold air intake and a full catback exhaust. thats all it has everything else is stock
It's also gonna be my DD. I want it to be fast just without boost
any suggestions

Cam gears Cam Shafts valve springs intake manifold
fuel rail
throttle body

Weight reduction, anything you dont need or want you can remove. If you wanna get into the motor a little a quick and easy port and polish job on the head with some cams will wake it up.

Build the block to see a real difference. Go to a 10:1 or 12:1 piston. Maybe a stoker kit. Get a light weight underdrive pulley, too.

Seeing as it only has a catback you could do a header as well. Are the 95s OBDII? If not you can pull the cat and put in a test pipe

Technically they're OBDII, but it has some oddities. Pulling the cat for a testpipe will usually set off a CEL although I've seen people get away with it and never have a CEL. The mopar ECU's are a little odd compared to the mitsu ECUs
