What the hell makes teeth break off of gears inside the tranny? my 2nd gear broke two teeth off wtf would cause that?

Any one of a million things.

Most likely, something got bound up in the teeth while you were driving, and the teeth sheared themselves off.

Here's a sample of what can come loose in a tranny...

You will notice the missing bearings.
You will also notice the remaining part of the bearing structure. (Looks like it's been through some gears, eh?)
