broke fuel line

ok so i was taking my fuel line off and it twisted and got a hole in it so i cut out the bad section and put a rubber fuel line in and clamped it do you think ill have any problems.

You may have to put several clamps on it. You can turn on the pump with the the fuel pump jumper. This will let you check it out.

Firstly, before anyone can answer this, you have to specify what material broke and where. Hose + clamps on non-barbed hard lines is a leak waiting to happen.

I had the same thing happen to me when I installed my 255hp. I just got a new metal line and fittings and attached a union instead of using fuel line and clamps. I haven't had any leaks so far and I run e85 at 23+psi with a rewired 255hp and 43psi base pressure. I wouldn't trust a fuel line to last long with high fuel pressure.

it broke between the tank and connector. can i just repair ii like a brake line ?

Mine did the same thing and I ended up doing this. You're probably only a couple miles from me, let me know and you come check it out in person.

yea im right down the road from ya that's nice but cant i fix it with a compression fitting iv got enough there to put a compression fitting in it

I did the same thing by the filter a long time ago and tried it 2 ways..the first was with a compression fitting (which killed fuel flow a bit), then the second was hose clamps and fuel line until i got my -6 feed. It took 3 clamps tightened with a 1/4'' ratchet to get them not to leak, but the flow picked back up again

so flow was hurt with the fittings so until i replace it wit braided stainless steel i should use hose and clamps has any body else had a flow problem with compression fitting?
