Okay . . . so I got the BC Stage 2 cams and am trying to degree them in but I can not for the life of me find out what the proper timing events for this cam are!

WEBSITE:

IO :: 4 BTDC
IC :: 28 ABDC

EO :: <B>38</B> BBDC
EC :: -4 <B>ATDC</B>

Timing Card that came with cams:

IO :: 4 BTDC
IC :: 28 ABDC

EO :: <B>36</B> BBDC
EC :: -4 <B>BTDC</B>

I've emailed Brian first on whether EO should be 36 or 38 and he responded 38. Ok- no problem . . . then asked if the -4 ATDC could also be viewed as 4 BTC and he said to use the attached spec sheet . . . which is the one that came with the cams.

Anyone ever cleared this up? Or just drop em in and go . . .

Info on the website catalog is incorrect . . . timing data that came with the cams is correct.

I just droped mine in straight up... how did you end up doing yours?

FWIW I have the Crower 64414's and Crower told me to just drop them in straight up. I talked to some people on here and they say to drop them in straight up and get them tuned on a dyno if I wanted to waste the money.

Well the motor is currently being built up so I dropped em in with some Fidanza gears and then degreed em . . . They were pretty damned close to spec, but my head has been milled a couple of times. Only had to advance the intake 1* and retard the exhaust 1* . . . then all of the #'s worked out.

Moving the lobe centers apart like that will move the power band up higher in the RPM range . . . so I could've been just fine with dropping them in. But now I *KNOW* where I am at and can adjust accordingly.

Congrats on doing things the right way. It's uncommon. Also, thanks for confirming the build quality of BC cams so the rest of us can keep on doing things the wrong way.
