breaking up

i just got a 98 gsx which ran hard the first week a check engine light popped up and the car began to break up in at like 3,000 rpms and once the car hit boost it ran fine i scanned the ecu for errors through the dsmlink the light was on because there was a mass air flow circuit malfunction since the gm maf was old i replaced it but the car still ran the same what could it be?

Still sounds like a MAF problem to me. Check your wiring to the MAF, see if theres any broken wires or corrosion.
