I was getting on the freeway so I decided to give it some gas in 1st (almost floored), and at ~5850 rpm i felt the power drop off quickly (I didnt ease off until after I felt the power loss) along with a loud air/whistle noise. Im assuming this was the BOV (vented Greddy Type-S). Does this mean the BOV is too soft and i need to turn it towards hard? It seemed like it leaked when i got on the gas and revved it up pretty high.

yeah, i think thats the problem that it isnt adjusted properly. I just got it so I guess these symptoms are from it being too soft right? And how much should I turn it at a time?

T25's won't hold boost after 5500 rpm anyway, that's probably what happened. That's why there also known as the "T-too small".

I bought the car about 5 days ago, and this time and one other time on the freeway ive heard the BOV whistling/fluttering when i step on the gas. Im going to try turning it towards hard soon, how much should I turn it? :thumb:

I'd go little bits at a time. If it gets too hard, it won't release properly and you will get compressor surge. Don't be afraid to play with it a little bit, but be weary of a 'fluttering' sound. That means compressor surge and will kill your turbo over time.
