Boost problem???

ok i have a 97 gst, the problem is in 1st gear my car reads no boost, 2nd gear car reads some boost but dies out, but in 3rd 4th and 5th gear it will hold full boost no problem. i know it could be a boost leak and im getting around to doin a BLT, but could this be anything other than a boost leak cause this problem. mods list is up to date. thanks for any and all help!

what kind of turbo and yes do a boost leak test

How much are you trying to boost? Your mods aren't really too much unless you're asking alot of your tubo.

im running about 12 to 13 pounds of boost, nothing serious.

Check the hot side too. I had a pesky leak linked to a loose nut on the exhaust manifold.

ok ill check it out thanks for letting me know that. does anyone know if the bov could cause this. its the cheap greedy knockoff that comes with the punishment FMIC?

ok i just got done checking and no loose nuts anywhere..will be doing a BLT later this week.
