Boost gauge install wiring help

I know there's a ton of posts on this but here goes, I'm in the process of installing my autometer boost gauge I have the gauge hooked up and working, now I'm trying to wire my gauge so the light turns on when the headlights do, the guide I'm following says to look for a b-66 wire harness behind the fuse box above the foot rest and then to tap into wires 2 and 14. I have NO clue where to find this harness none of the wires or anything are numbered and it looks like a birds nest up there. Also it says it doesn't matter which wire goes to which so does that mean I need no ground? Or is one of those a ground? And last thing, I through out the nylon tubing that came with it and bought some clear vinyl tubing to use instead, I ran it through the steering boot and hid it under the carpet behind the pedals but how can I hide it from the bottom of the car to the gauge itself so I don't have to run it up the side of the car? I'm sorry for posting so much I've been working on this for a solid 4 hours and I want to get it done. Thanks for reading and any help

I ran a ground and then hooked the positive wire up to my cigarette lighter's light

make sure to connect to the hot wire on it though, use a volt meter

You could buy a fuse tap and go into the extra spots in the fuse box then just make your own ground.

Could also try behind the radio if you have an aftermarket radio tap into illumination there too.

I always splice into the instrument panel wires. Here is a write up I did for a 1G. I am sure it would be similar for a 2G.

Thanks for the help guys, i finally got it installed and wired properly and it looks great, I took it for a run though and it says my max psi is 20 lbs.. I have a completely stock car other then bov, some other info, it vacuums at about 15 max and when I shut it off it stays at 5 lbs boost, I also used a clear vinyl tube instead of the autometer supplied npt, any ideas? I don't think it's a leak I made sure I sealed everything good with Teflon and clamps and I can't hear any leaks.

It's possible your gauge is broken. I have the autometer pro comp and it sits at 0 when off. And at idle sits at 22vac and then under boost goes to what it's set at.
