Boost Gauge Bounce

My VDO boost gauge is tapped at the same source as the FPR (#1 intake runner) per the recommendation of the FAQs... but notice that at high RPMs (>5500) the needle bounces 2-3psi making Max Boost difficult to read.

Is this an issue with the gauge itself (i.e. being mechanical) or where it's being tapped into

Hm. Make sure there are no kinks in the vac line. Is this a new gauge? I wonder if it might have been dropped, or if it has a burr on the actuator rack.

I would ask around and see if you could borrow someone's gauge and try that. sounds like yours might be FUBAR'd

Thinking about it.. since I used the larger bore black rubber vac line.. it might have a "pinch" in it where it passes thru the A-Pillar ( added my EGT not to long ago so prol happened then).

wow.. that gauge and my Hallman MBC are my original mods from 10 years back
