boost controller question

hey guys i got rid of my profec so i bought a manual one from srp off of ebay. my question is does it matter what part if the controller is hooked up to the wastergate? i have a + sign for the connector that runs straight down from the controller and then one coming out horizontally labeled -

Yes, the bottom is the input (from the boost source) and the side is the output (to the wastegate).

This is a ball/spring type we're talking about here, right?
