I have a 1g Laser Turbo, but I can't get a Boost COntrol Solenoid. I wanted to know if I Put a Greddy Profec Type S or Profec Spec II Will this take control over my Boost Control Solenoid.

And if anyone has installed how hard or how easy is it??

Yep, anything that controls boost will result in the removal of the BCS. Just make sure that you leave it plugged in, or you will get a CEL. The BCS is the ECU's way to control boost if it need to. Normally the ECU will just jack the timing, but in extreme cases it will also drop the boost.

It doesnt madder if you leave the 1g pluged in or not, it wont through a cel. Only the 2g's, mine is fully removed

Oops.....I didn't know that, I just assumed it was the same. There were go with assumptions again. :notgood:

Thanks for the correction JayRolla, I'll store that one in my memory banks. Hopefully it's not stored in the next braincell that gets killed by the beer. :p

thanks for all your help, I'm putting a Maf-t Setup on my 1g and Apexi Avc-r, so I wanted to be sure, right now I have a vacum broken from my BCS and well when I plung in 1st it boggs nasty style.

So I know I need another one or this fix but I can't find another one so this is what I'm going to have to do.

Thanks a million.
