I want to take my car out for a quick stroll through my neighborhood to make sure it runs and have no problems, but I still dont have a MBC and I currently have a FP intake and they have no nipples to attach the stock boost control solenoid. I was wondering if I T off the BOV would the stock boost solenoid operate? Also will it still regulate the boost pressure to stock setting with a bigger turbo? I currently have a bullseye power V trim. Thanks

Easy answer is that you could just eliminate the solenoid all together and run a line from a boost source straight to the wastegate actuator (I'm assuming it's internal), which would run it at whatever the spring pressure is, which I don't know for a V-trim.

My understanding is that the WGA and the BCS are not designed to reference vacuum, meaning that the diaphragm could be damaged if exposed to vacuum causing the actuator or solenoid to fail. However I have no experience with the BCS so I don't know if that is accurate but I do know it applies to the WGA. I am going to assume that you did not have the compressor housing of your v-trim tapped for a nipple and that is why you don't have a direct boost source for the boost control solenoid/wastegate actuator. I think your best bet is to remove the comp. housing and have it tapped and then reinstall it(don't forget to put a bead of RTV around the edge where the compressor cover meets the backing plate :thumb:).

The turbo came with an ajustable internal WG and no nipple on the compressor housing. Is there any other vacuum sorces I could plug into to regulate the boost from the wastegate since its stated not to use the BOV vacuum line? Thanks
