hi i am currently in the process of modding my 96 eclipse gst. i am looking at upgrading the turbo next. i want something that will just bolt right on without any major changes to anything. i am looking into the big 16g. any ideas on what one i should get? nothing to crazy because its still the stock block and am only going to be running about 13lbs.

Dsmlink is a tuning program..And on their website it will teach you how to navigate through and change things to optimize performance..You also get a forum name on their dsmlink forum to help with tuning if you decide to tune yourself..

It's the best one out there for the money..

If you get it tuned somewhere, where they have used dsmlink before you should have no problems with getting it tuned..Its just like any other tuning program out there..Except this program is just for dsm's..

So dsmlink is just like a tuning program? If i get it tuned somewhere would i need this?

Still dont 100% understand dsmlink.

You would still need to get DSMlink to have a place tune it for you because that is what they will use to tune it. DSMLink is one of the best things you could buy for our cars. With it you'll be able to run up to almost any size injectors fairly easily.

And you don't NEED a fuel pump and injectors to run a 16g. I ran my Evo 3 16g for about a year with no fuel upgrades and it was fine, I did hit fuel cut a couple times though.

I would suggest getting the 16g, DSMlink, then a 255fp with a AFPR then get injectors.

if your going to get a "big" turbo and if your car is stock you have to get things that will work with the turbo. a new turbo means more air. every turbo makes there own amount of air current now my friend installed the 16g (evoIII) turbo.
Well his car won't perform as well because you need bigger injectors fuel pump and if you push any thing more then 15psi with out supporting mods = bad news 20psi =fuel cut i had it happen to me.
your going to look into investing a lot of $ to do it the right way.

you don't really need a dsm link yes it is better but a safc2 will do just fine

I would focus on getting other supporting mods in place before even thinking about upgrading turbos. I am currently running a 14b on my six bolt swap for engine break in at 10 to 12 psi and I am already getting a little fuel cut in the top end on the stock system. I can not stress how important upgrading the pump, the pump wiring and a FPR are before you start turning boost up.

I have a stock 1995 talon tsi my turbo just went out on it today im planning on building the motor soon but right now i need the car back up and running im trying to decide between another stock t25 or go with a bigt28 i want a direct bolt up so i dont have to do changes can someone please help me out with this

Either turbo will be a direct bolt-on. Decide if stock is fine for you, or if you want some room to grow. You can run the T-28 at stock boost levels without fuel changes so long as you have an adjustable waste-gate actuator or swap the one off your old T-25. Ultimately it is your car.

Thank you for answering so soon i plan on building the motor later i just do t have alot of money or the time right now but i figured since mine went out id see about goin bigger so id already have one so if i go with a T-28 and run stock boost i wont have to change the injectors ? Im new to owning a 4G63 ive always had the 420A's some im a newbie to turbos

At stock boost levels, you will be fine. As I stated above, ensure you check when the waste-gate opens. If it is higher than your stock turbo, swap the old one on the T-28. Last I knew, Extreme PSI had them on sale. You may want to upgrade the oil feed line to a stainless one since you are there. You will also need new gaskets for the drain line, turbo-o2 housing, down pipe, and manifolf-to turbo. You will also want to get the crush washers for the coolant line bango bolts (x2 each).
