Bolt on turbo on a 420a

I just got a 96 Talon and i wanted to get the bolt on turbo, but ive been reading that alot of people blow the bottom end of their motors. so i was wondering if i only run 5-6 psi, will the stock engine hold it with no problems, or do i have to get pistions, rods, etc?

5-6 psi should be ok. You need to do a compression test first to see what kind of "life" your engine has left. How many miles are on it?

It has 85xxx miles

Well... like I said, a compression test will let you know how strong it is.

BTW, you do know that it is not just buy a turbo and bolt it on correct?

Yea i know that i have to get a custom manifold, piping, FMU, run oil lines, fuels hoses, intercooler and etc..
