I was woundering if not having my bov resurculated is a bad thing or if its ok.

BOV recirc is the stock configuration and IMHO there isn't anything in particular to gain by venting it other than noise. Particularly with a car running a MAF, having the car vent air it has counted out the BOV can wreak havoc and cause weird behaviour from the motor.

The search button would help you greatly, there are thousands of threads on this site about venting the bov.

my computer is having problems loading things, which is why i post instead of look. but when i took out and made it louder it also ran better. so i was woundering if it was ok if i just did it atmospher

It's a bad thing if you have a stock maf. You will be letting metered air out of the intake system which will cause your car to go a little rich when you let off the gas or shift. If you had a gm sensor or a speed density setup then it would be fine.

Search if you want more info on it.

if its a bad thing how come my car is sooo much slower with it on than with it off?

No telling, but it in general it makes the car run bad. MANY people have attempted this and had the same problems. If you want to do it, and you are convinced that it is ok than go ahead.

Maybe your car just prefers having nice, clean cylinder walls. Shift, rinse, repeat. :)

ps. did the English language run over your dog when you were a kid?

If it runs better with it vented than with it on, it is either the "daddy" effect or things are mucked up with your motor to begin with. As previous posters have said, it is the stock setup and the MAF does not like it when air it has already counted goes missing.

I would do a little investigating and check for boost leaks, vacuum lines etc. and make sure everything is mechanically correct before I assumed everything is tickety-boo with a vented BOV because sure as shit you have more going on underneath the surface of that motor than you think.
