BISS/Idle adjustment Problem

Heres the situation.


* Car idled at 1500rpm and adjusting Biss screw made it go down barely to 1000rpms.

* Replaced Biss w/O-ring

* Now car stays at 700rpms and adjusting BISS does NOT change idle at all.

What is wrong with my idle? O-ring? Throttle Position cable?


NOTE: I did have to take of TB because my old biss screw was stripped and had to be taken out.

Sounds like it's been crossthreaded or stripped and you are just spinning the skrew. If it was physical moving in it'd be affecting the airflow around the throttle plate, decreasing the idle.

If the TB, BISS, ISC FIAV and ECU are working correctly turning the BISS without grounding the two adjustment terminals shouldn't cause the idle speed to deviate from the factory value of 750 +-50 RPM until you drive the ISC out of range. What you see on a logger is the ISC steps changing as you move the BISS until it's all the way closed or open.

If you have the two terminals grounded and the idle speed doesn't move then there is something wrong with the TB. How did you remove the stuck BISS?
