Alright so I know this topic has been covered time and time again and I've been reading things for the last couple days but didn't see a similar situation.
Basically I'm getting the Code for idle air malfunction, so my first step was I replaced the ISC which corrected the issue for a little bit and the car was idling perfect. But low and behold it came back. I'm not getting idle surge but more so a low idle when pressing in the clutch to come to a stop, the rpms will drop to around 300-400 and sometimes stall out. My idle in link is set at 920. So I figured I would go to the biss adjustment.
Hooked up link, grounded both termanals through link(have seen mixed things about this and doing it vs not doing it. Some say 2g you don't have to), and my iscpostion will not move off of 9 no matter which way I turn the screw. I know it's suppose to be around 30 and learnedidle around 140. With it not grounded the iscpostion is around 100. However the slight adjustment I did make did seem to solve the issue. Haven't driven it a lot since doing it but the short drive I took with it and the idle didn't drop at all and never stalled out. I basically just adjusted the biss till it was around my target idle, but the other values remanded unchanged so I'm a bit worried that could be an issue or lead to other problems so I figured I'd ask.
What am I doing wrong? Any ideas why the iscpostion wouldn't change from 9? Dangers of driving it with just adjusting the biss to making the idle correct?
Should mention no boost leaks.
