I'm about to run a GT35R turbo on my talon that has a 255fp rewired, 780cc injectors, afpr, and dsmlink burned for the injectors to tune with. I want to run 20psi daily on it, but for the track I want to tune it for higher boost. How high can I look at going with 780s?

Would that be smart to get bigger injectors when the dsmlink is burned for 780s?

Its kinda easy to reset the values, but still if I lose power somehow without a laptop i'd be screwed. Can DSMlinks be reburned to bigger injectors? I'm guessing not.

Take your max air flow (lb/min).

Multiply by 196.875 <- All the conversion factors from lb/min to 4 injectors in cc/min.
Divide by your min AFR

That's what cc you need for injectors with an 80% duty cycle.

Example for small 16g.
32lb/min
Min AFR 9.5 <- Giving myself some room.

32*196.875/9.5 = 663cc
Which is why 680cc is all the larger you need for a 16g.

Hope that helps. :p

Why do you need your chip for DSMlink reburned?

Just change your global and start tuning.

Okay easy, Just find out what global your going to need. Write that down say in owners man. then if you have to unplug the battery then your okay.

To me that seems easier than sending the chip in to have it reburned (which I belive that they wont do it but make you upgrade to v3)

thats just me.

But as he mentioned before, if he doesn't have the laptop, he's screwed.

They already mentioned they'll do this on a case by case basis, so he'd have to contact them to see if they would. Yes, they'd rather not as they really don't deal with those chips on a regular basis anymore, but if he has a good reason they won't just throw it out the window and say "You must upgrade to v3."

Well I'm going to go with V3 since it does not lose its setting when it loses power. The reason I did not want to go with bigger injectors than what its burned for is with my last dsm I had 950cc's and my car lost power in the middle of nowhere. My laptop's battery was dead and my dsmlink was burned for 550s.. But thanks for all the help, I got it solved. I think I'm going to go with PTE 1000cc injectors.
