Big 16G install on 2g

Just resently purchased a used Big 16G turbo. I was going to buy the T28 because of the easyier install but this turbo came up cheap so i bought it. but my question is do i actually need the install kit? If not what would be the parts i need to find. I have heard that the install kits are overrated and that i only have to buy a few individual parts. Im wanting to spend the least amount of money as possible to. I have looked around at different post but my general question has not been answered. I really just need some guidence on what to buy. Also im really wanting to do this myself, what kind of difficultly is involved??? Turbo is already ported and clipped so hopefully i wont have boost creep problems!! Thanks in advance!!

porting the wastegate and O2 housing are what help with boost creep. All you really need is a new oil feed line, I believe a new return line and the 2 coolant lines. The isntall kits usually come with a new turbo to manifold gasket and turbo to O2 gasket as well as new studs ... oh yea and the j pipe.

Would you recomned buying an install kit?? Or would it be more sinceable to get the Jpipe and other thing only. I dont want the damn thing to leak once i get it on. I mean ill spend more if i get the right stuff but if i dont have to then that would be the best thing.

I've heard of people rigging up their own parts and getting away with those. Personally I would spend hte extra money and just buy the kit. I have a j pipe I would sell for $45 shipped if you are interested.
