Big 16g better then evoIII16g??

Actually there are many EVO III 16g's listed now. They must have updated the turbo selection list. But you're right some of those numbers posted are referring to the Evo variety of 16g's.

John, if you will notice, the e316g is the only 16g variant to hit numbers beyond 400whp.
You will have to select "big turbos" to view them.
 
sorry to highjack, I bought my car with a 16g, how do you tell witch 16g I might have...Sorry searching brings up 15 pages :(

An easy way to tell is check out the compressor cover. There will be a cast number then a dash & like 3 or 4 other numbers. What are these numbers?

Mitsu Evo III 16G ends in 1470.

Mitsu Big 16G ends in 420.

Mitsu Small 16G ends in 520.

I believe it goes....

housing #'s on the side of the turbo:

Small 16G= 49178-01520(what mine says)
Big 16G=49178-01420(someone confirm?)
Evo III 16G=49178-01470(what mine says)
