best sounding muffler?

Which sounds the best I have a full 3 inch exhaust and what is a great sounding muffler for it?

Ive had HKS and now have a Megan racing, and i have to say the quality and sound of the megan racing exhaust is way nicer

If you can get past the price, Thermal is the closest thing your going to get to a boxer sound. They sound like that because of the design, the mods or cams. Opposing cylinders do that, think of a harley. Sounds vary similar.

The thermal isn't too expensive if you just buy the muffler and tip separately.

It's the same muffler and exhaust tip that comes in the $500 catback kit. I got both for less than $200. It just has to be welded in to a 3" exhaust. IF you're interested...

Dynomax turbo muffler sounds real nice, also the Apex-I WORLDSPORT SOUNDS GOOD. My favorite exhaust was the RS*R cat Back I had on my old 97 Gsx , damn that was my favorite one too bad it's discontinued for afew years now..

There is a crap ton of videos on YouTube, I'm running an apexi muffler with 2.5 piping, cat delete, and headers. Mine is a non turbo but when I started it up after putting the exhaust on I was shocked it how beast it sounded.

Unless your not packing much heat, a muffler won't do much for you...especially if it's just a cat back.
I've come to find out that an FP manifold releases the "monster" withing the car.
I've heard cars with and without FP manifold nearly same identical mods...and the one with the FP sounds more throaty.

Yep I have an fp manifold on my car and it made a ver large change to the sound of the car. Espcially at wot.. It sounds mean and scary.

I have a 3 inch ebay exhaust, and I love it. It doesnt sound like a ricer. Its mean and it was only 200. I also have fp mani.

its very expensive but if you can choke down the price try looking into the xforce varex muffler. its expensive but give you the choice of quiet or loud. im planning on getting it when the car is ready for it!

I had a Magnaflow muffler with full 3" pipes (catless) and it sounded amazing. Easily the best sounding 1g I have ever heard in person.

Ill back this one up. They are not super expensive and they sound great! I would go with this in a heart beat.

My magnaflow sounds great from idle to redline, and still retains stock appearance.

The Hooker maximum flow, 3" off set in and 3" center out is very quiet at idle but flows freely.

Since he's looking for the best sounding muffler, I don't think he wants to have a loud straight pipe. I love the sound of a straight pipe, don't get me wrong they sound beastly, but for a DD its actually pretty annoying having that. Especially on long drives, the drone is really annoying. Its even worse when you run an o2 dump on a DD like me

My friend and I was just talking about straight pipes so I thought I would put it out there. I still want the Vibrant 1149. I also have a DD with my EWG externally dumped haha
