Unless your not packing much heat, a muffler won't do much for you...especially if it's just a cat back.
I've come to find out that an FP manifold releases the "monster" withing the car.
I've heard cars with and without FP manifold nearly same identical mods...and the one with the FP sounds more throaty.
I had a Magnaflow muffler with full 3" pipes (catless) and it sounded amazing. Easily the best sounding 1g I have ever heard in person.

I have a full 3" exhaust w/ Apex'i muffler. It sounds good but I don't like the look of the big "fart can". I would rather have a twin tip muffler.
same here.. dont dig the big can, but sounds good.How about 3" catless straight pipe?

Since he's looking for the best sounding muffler, I don't think he wants to have a loud straight pipe. I love the sound of a straight pipe, don't get me wrong they sound beastly, but for a DD its actually pretty annoying having that. Especially on long drives, the drone is really annoying. Its even worse when you run an o2 dump on a DD like me
