Are you serious? Then yours isn't the same as mine. Mine doesn't have reducers.

n1 dp and n1 cat back, this setup sounds alsome and flows great. i love the sound of this exhaust with just the dp and cat back but if you put some 272 cams in there OMG best exhaust ever.

The only reducer for my n1 downpipe is still sitting in my closet. Its 2.5" off the o2 housing, at the flex section goes to 3" and is a straight pipe from there to the flange for the cat back. (Which is where you would use the reducer if bolting to the stock cat back)

I had a friend who didn't believe me and had to see it measured for his own eyes.....

exactly, at the flex section it goes to 3". meaning about half of it is 2.5".

original poster: just make your own turbo back exhaust for 200 bucks with the choice of your muffler as i have.

no the rsr is set up the same as apexi. It will bolt up to japanese-spec exhaust like rsr and apexi. Also if you get a thermal you will have to cut off 3" to run a 3" dp or you could just run a 2.5". But in order to have 3" from flex back thier is going to be cutting and welding involved.

APex N1 GT.. Meassure it. It's a 2 5/8 ID after the flex. not 3". I use the reducer to flange into a shop pressbent 2.5 CB ($180) intoa a POS $99 2.5 Pepboys muffler. NOT IDEAL as its shrinking instread of getting bigger. no resonators

Solution./sleeper exhaust? :thumb: I am going to simply order a flange from RRE that will fit the APex DP and have a 3" pressbent CB done w god knows what muffler..
maybe a stock one and one of these

There, must be a problem if apex-i is selling some d-pipes with or without reducer's. just get a thermal and be done with it.

or get a cut-out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Apex isn't selling d-pipes with reducers. Don't listen to the RNR guys. They purposely say that shit to get you to buy their product. With RNR you have to wait month's for your order and there is a chance once you get it that it will be wrong or the quality may not be good. Listen to the stories if you don't believe me.

Yeah, my buddy (fertez_turbo) recently ordered and Thermal 3" cat-back and the RNR 3" O2 elim downpipe. Thermal sent him the wrong cat-back, so he had to send it back to them and his order through RNR hasn't even shipped out yet. He placed the order one month ago. I use the GReddy EVO exhaust on my 2G, but I dont like it. I would recommend the Thermal, and as far as RNR, I'm not sure if I would buy from them. I've heard too many horror stories.

From MVP Motorsports. This Apexi downpipe starts as 60mm on the turbo side & grows to 70mm on the exhaust side. From road race; Apexi N-1 Cat-Back Exhaust Systems
The Apexi N-1 systems have 70mm piping expanding to 85 mm at the rear. The piping under the car is aluminized steel.
So as you can see it's not a full 3" inch exhaust. The pipe starts around 2.36" then expands to 2.75" at the front of the cat-back end of the downpipe. The front 2.75" of the cat-back then expands to 3.35" at the rear. I am not sure if they are measuring inner diameter of the piping or outer.

Here's the conversion table I used, very simple.
