Thanks man.
Well I got some more work done today now I have to drain out the oil and jack up the car so I can take off the motor mount to take off the timeing cover and what ever else I have to do.

I took my timing belt cover off and left it off.. Is that safe or should I keep it on there?

I don't like the cover too but keep it on because something could get stuck in there and your going to be in deep sh!*. Too bad they don't make a clear cover for our 420a.

Well I tried to clean this up but it looks the same so I think I am going to polish it by hand the save me some money way what ever that is.:hmm:

This is dirty so I am going to take it apart and clean it up a bit. I guess it is build up from over the years.

Talk to dsmj89 for junkyard parts. I have a buddy who is trying to sell his 97 gs 5spd, but you already have a car..

What are you cleaning your parts with??

EDM i can find a center piece for you no problem at a junkyard. Interested ?

Shouldn't there be a screw on one of the ends, and Idk if you have to remove the screws in the middle of the butterfly itself.. Then you should be able to remove and clean..

I think I will just take it with me to a parts store and ask where the tool is to take this off so I can buy the right size of tool for it.

So I got bored and started to sand the v/c and then I got tired of sanding and took a break.
This is the ugly v/c how it looks now but when I paint it I will post a pic.
All I need to do now is pull off the intakemanifold and some other small thing before the head is off. I am doing this on my free time so it is going slow for now.
:aha:
