Lol I just realized that post was from 2007. Anyways though, it looks much better. Another suggestion, if you're low on cash and can't afford rims..a good alternative would be to paint the stockers black.

I would leave the rims the way they are. Just save the money and eventually sell the stockers. Someone will pay a decent price so they can be all sleeper like.

Looks like my dsm broke down again. The trans failed me again.
What should i do rebuild trans & engine or part out the car?

Parting it out might get you enough cash-money for a turbo model, if thats what you were interested in. But if you love the car and its reasonable to rebuild the tranny (or buy a used one for ~300) then thats a fine way to go too.

It does look good and for the rims. You can paint it with the tires on but use note cards to surround the other edge of the rim so that it will cover up the tires. Don't want to roll around with the tires painted too.

But remove the wheel off the car when doing this and paint it in the garage or somewhere there is no wind. Also sand it down a bit and clean it very good with water/towel. Then dry it and paint.

For the tranny you can get one for cheap. It is up to you if you want to keep the car or not. If it was me I would keep it because of all the hard work done to it and the way gas price is right now I prefer something with better gas mileage/reliable.

Honesty, I think that light-blue color looks ..In my opinion, the exhaust manifold shield looks good black, but you should've kept the valve cover red and the intake pipe red as well (it looks ok in black too). Besides those two things, the other stuff you painted red previously looks much better in black too.

I know it was going to be dark blue but it came out light blue
I guess i will sand down the DOCH 2.0l so it looks a little better, i dont know how i am going to do that hmmm.

i would paint it a similar color to your body. Valve Covers should always match the body color of the car I think.
