Battery grounded out on hood, what all is fried?

I put in a battery that was a little too big, and it worked fine for weeks but then the rubber boot that was covering the terminal came off and it grounded out on the hood which shut my car off. It also heated up my throttle cable causing a small fire, but I have all that fixed. I can start the car (will turn over and Ive now used the last of the gas in the system) but nothing else on the car (lights, a/c, wipers, radio, fuel pump) works. I've checked most of the grounds but they are all intact, what else could be fried/broken that I can check that would cause everything to not work? Also none of the fuses blew.

Check your relays and the fuse box under your hood, not just the one under the dash.

I had a similar problem. My main Alternator fuse had blown. Check it out. Large fuse on the far left of the fuse box in the engine compartment.

your car starts without the fuel pump working?? but as everyone is saying, you probably blew some fuses. You say none of them are blown but there are 2 separate spots we have fuses, did you check them both?

I've checked both fuse box locations, and the one relay in the dash under were the radio sits is making a squealing sound, and when I turn the switch for the lights a relay in the fuse box in the engine compartment makes the same noise. What does that mean exactly? It started with out the fuel pump because I used the last of the fuel in the lines.

Sounds like you may have found a couple of bad relays. You can test them to make sure, follow the instructions here: How to Test a Car Relay | eHow.com

Probably a safe bet to go ahead and replace them though. And I would definitely recommend getting the right sized battery, don't take any more chances with the larger one. Hope this helps.

Were can I get the relays at? Oriellys didn't have them.

You should be able to get them at Radioshack of from a junk yard.

Just hope that you only blew fuses and relays and that the short didn't make it's way to the ECU.

Is there any way to check if I blew the ECU?

You could pull it out and see if any circuits got blown on it. If you blew relays and fuses you should be fine after replacing them.
