Hi guys!

I have a 2G GST (EU spec N/A 4G63 converted to GST). 2 days ago, after crawling in a traffic jam for about an hour I noticed that my Oil temp and battery light came on. I thought the slow inching under the hot summer sun didn't do good, but I was going out of town for 2 days so I had to get on with it. Yesterday when I started the car the two lights immediately popped up, and kept on until I was reaching 2k RPM, so they are only on when I am under 2k RPM. What can cause this, where should I start to search?

I'm thinking it might be a faulty cable or connector, there is no way the oil temp is too high right after startup. Or it might be a alternator issue, and the two warning light get the signal on the same wire? I will look at the battery with a multimeter today, but I don't know what else to check after that.
