I recently blew my 16g turbo, so Im considering a Bastard 20g setup. My questions are that obviously Ill use a 16g rebuild kit, but can I just use a 20g Compressor housing, instead of machining a 16g housing to fit the 20g fan?
And my other question is, can I still use my 16g wastegate actuator, or do I use a 20g actuator?

you could use the 20g compressor housing, however that would partially ruin the purpose of a Bastard 20g since the 20g housing has a downward exit and no jpipe

It greatly depends on what you want. The 20g housing is down firing, which really helps with using a fmic as you don't need a j pipe, but you are pretty much limited to using an external gate setup. This is better anyway as that extra back pressure usually makes it harder to control boost creep.
A bastard 20g uses the original tdo5h comp housing, allowing you to keep the internal gate functional, but limits airflow vs the 3 in 2 out df compressor housing.

Personally, if I were building a 20g to run on my car, it would be the down firing comp cover, with an external setup

Ok, so it would be better to use a 16g housing? What is the "machining" Ill have to do to make it fit? Just enlarge the hole?
