Last night I was doing a 3rd Gear pull to 8500 RPMS at 30PSI... When Boom Dead 0 RPMS so i coasted down and pulled into a parking lot... I immediately thought oh damn a coupler just blew off so i was like i got this... But no joy link threw a crank shaft positioning censor malfunction so then I knew. Pulled te timing cover and boom rubber Just falls on the ground...

Balance shaft belt broke and took out crankshaft positioning censor...

I think i got Lucky and it didnt jump time, I did not hear any loud noises when i was trying to fire it before i knew...
Already took the belt off so, Well see putting a new one on now! eBay Balance Shaft Belt Y U NO LIKE 8500RPMS?

Yep ill Do a Compression test too forgot to put that... Im starting to worry about the balance shaft belt breaking, could have taken out the CPS.

Balance shaft belt broke and took out cps.... Glad I found the problem
 
Definitely check your timing...your lucky it didn't break your timing belt, but it still could of jumped teeth. Followed by a compression test as stated.
 
Another reason to do the balance shaft eliminator kit.:| Just imagine those things turning at twice crankshaft speed. Your balance shaft bearings probably locked up.:( At 8500rpm they were turning at 17,000rpms... OMG

You are very lucky that didn't take out your timing belt.:)
 
How your timing belt didn't break is driving me nuts LOL mine broke and took the belt with it. You are a very lucky guy. Like getting hit by lightning kinda luck.
 
I see nothing in the description of the problem to indicate that the balance shaft bearings are OK but only the belt was bad.

When the balance shaft bearings seize the balance shaft belt breaks.

The balance shaft bearings wear out faster than the main or rod bearings. At 183,000 miles on my Talon the main and rod bearings were like new but the balance shaft bearings were worn to near end of life. I choose to replace the bearings and keep the balance shafts.
 
I had the same problem like you but at the track. Snapped my balance shaft belt. Top balance shaft seized and found the bearing into 3 pieces. The bottom shaft bearing got loose and cracked the oil pump housing. I suggest taking off the cover and inspecting it before putting it all back together. Better do it once instead of ripping it apart again.

Also check your oil for metal shavings because thats what I found when I checked mine
