I posted last week that I was driving and my car just died. Someone posted back that I most likely snapped the timing belt. Well I took the cover off and I found out that it was the Balance Shaft Belt. I took all the pulleys off and took the timing belt off after getting it TDC. I replaced the belt by slipping it onto the Crank Shaft Sprocket (spinning it until it was past the guard not putting stress on the new belt). Everything was marked and when I put the TB back on and tried to start it it does the same thing. As far as I know all of the timing marks are lined up but I know it can still be tricky. Any tips on finding out if I have it correctly in time. Thanks:confused:

Were all timing marks lined up before you remove the old belt? Make sure you follow every step in the link uncle steve provided and perform a compression test.

When I get off of work today I am going to do a comp. test If I had to turn the crank to get the BSB on and put it back to TDC that wouldnt hurt anything would it and if the BSB goes out does that mess anything else up.
