Bad first day at 18psi

I'd been waiting for my 6bolt to break in before I could turn up the boost on my turbo. So finally today I installed the Dejon boost controller and set the boost at 18PSI. Things were going well, the car felt fast, DSMLink numbers looked good.

So then on my way home from work tonight I hear a loud pop sound, the CEL goes on, the fake boost gauge is showing no airflow, the car is is serious limp mode. I pull over, cuss a lot but can't see anything wrong (really dark). The car was still running just limping really bad.

I limp it home, look around for a blown off intercooler pipe or something, don't find anything. I hooked up my laptop to DSMLink to see what the CELs are. There are 3 codes, airflow / intake temp / intake pressure.

Aha! I go over to the MAS and the cable had come unplugged. Doh... Plugged it back in and everything was running fine again.

I would have been so pissed if after all that time, effort and money I'd blown my engine or something on the first day....

same thing happened to me at the track, but it ended up being the ecu :thumbdown

its a crappy feeling when something goes wrong...especially when you bend your valves. As long as the motor didn't get destroyed all is well =) There is no worse feeling than when you first realized you have trashed your engine
