My car could not go above 3000rpm when I took it to a nearby dealer. They said that there was a wiring problem and disconnected my s-afc so it doesnt read kar anymore. Everything else still registers on tyhe s-afc. Now, at 18psi, the car runs fine until the turbo hits at around 3000rpm at full throttle. Then there is this sputtering sound as the turbo kicks in, followed by a loss of power, then the launches with a rough take off. The car runs fine with the boost off, but not at full throttle. Whats wrong with my baby???

So they disconnected the KAr wire? Isn't that what the SAFC modifies so you can make your fuel corrections? I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure that is the one. I would start llooking over your safc to ecu connections and see what exactly they changed.

The BOV is being recirculated so I dont think its a boost leak. The dealer said that my MAF meter was not giving any readings to the computer because it wasnt being provided with enough power hence the " wiring problem." Ive read on this site about how it could be a clogged cat, but im running straight piping all the way through.

so, did you see what they did down there? Did they modify your existing setup or did they cut the safc out entirely. What do the plugs look like?

First off, not a good idea to "think" its not a boost leak... Take the time to do a boost leak test and get that out of the way first. Second, if I recall correctly, the wire that reads the air flow is the only wire that does any correcting on a SAFC, so if they disconnected that wire your not getting any fuel correction. Also, I didn't see a AFPR in your vehicle profile. Your going to overrun your stock FPR with that Walbro 190.

190 should be fine with your stock fuel pressure regulator. what mods do you exactly have and what do your s-afc settings look like?

Not true. I have a 190 and I definetely have overrun until 5500 rpm until it cleans up. It makes a huge difference too, its like having a second boost. Makes my part throttle tuning a nightmare.

my car was doing the same thing...

it was just bad plugs...

buy a new set of "COPPER" ngk's either a 6 or 7

it may also be a bad plug wire.

i have tuned many cars only using a 190 without a fpr and have had no problems and this is as big as 750 cc injectors on a t28. it all deppends on the tune.

Similar to the problem I was having with my car

First off re check the AFC hook up to see if its right for one
Check for boost leaks

It could be any of the following
Plugs
Plug Wires
Transistor
Coil Pack
AFC hook up
Boost Leak
ECU caps going (highly unlikely)

Have fun checking it out RRE should be able to have it running in no time. :thumb:

:thumb: After driving the car for a few days, the car sputtered at 6,500 rpm. I took it to RRE and they told me th AFC was to blame. I had an oil change a week ago and they must of messed with my settings too. AUGH!! RRE took care of it and its running awesome again. Although, perhaps it was a good thing because I made an appointment today to get hks street 264/272 cams!
