So a while ago my cv axel snapped off at the cup going into the transmission. I read a few things and one of them told me to remove the 4 bolts that connect to what looks like a plate on the passenger side of the tranny. My main question is. Do i re attach these bolts before putting the new axel in or do i wait and put them in after its installed.

I don't believe you had to take those out initially, but yes I would out them in now. Then you can just pop the new axle in to place.

Usually you just use a wonderbar or big screwdriver/prybar to pop the axle out.
