I have a 1992 AWD eagle talon that I am about to go through and rebuild the transmission, replace the clutch and flywheel and was wondering if it is suggested to change out the axels and drive shaft at the same time.
I have not put my car on a dyno yet but currently have it set up on a big 16G with 2G MAF running 18PSI. By the end of next year I will switch it over to E85 and will probably install a new Turbo, throttle body and intake with the end goal of getting the car around the 400-500 HP range.
Can the stock axels handle that kind of HP or would it behoove me to go ahead and upgrade the drivetrain while I have the transmission out?
Components based off of Extreme PSI pricing would add another 4-6/mo to the project.

. Get some redline shockproof in there. It just depends how your drive bro! I would get all 4 solid prothane motor mounts if you havnt yet. It will handle your power goals just fine! Get a good south bend clutch setup up! I have the b-series and love it! If locally available and you want some extra insurance. You could get your axles and some other parts cryo treated for super strength!
