Ok so im upgrading my turbo from straight oil feed to oil/water. There was a plug bolt (bolt on left) i removed that bolt and bought the bolt/banjo bolt and crush washers to install the inline filter. Issue that im having is when putting it together correctly the bolt snugs up but wont tighten down, seems like its stripped. But when i remove the banjo bolt and thread just the bolt itself it seems to thread in nice. Im confused as to wtf LOL seems like the bolt is a tad too short. Anyone know whats up with this?

I had a similar issue but mine was leaking from the filter restrictor not in the correct orientation or tightened down enough before hand. Luckily I had the correct fittings to locate it to the head for my new turbo! The bolt/banjo is fairly short on mine as well but it snugged up enough to not leak anymore. Small crack in the bolt or flat washer possibly?

The issue is it will start to thread in but once snug wont tighten down with a socket. Seems the bolt isnt long enough.

Measure that banjo. I have the stocker and it’s 13.5mm of threads.

EDIT: the pic is the banjo for turbo side. I can’t find the head banjo.

Got ya, sounds like possibly some stripping going on hopefully not in the head or just too short like you said. Mine doesn't thread in much just a couple threads but I didn't go that tight with it. I did tighten the restrictor filter down alot though.

Definitely sounds like it's stripped. A longer banjo might work by grabbing more threads, but you have to be careful that you don't use one that's too long. There's an oil passage right inside there that I believe feeds oil to the exhaust cam, definitely don't want that to be blocked.
