So, im driving my 95 talon TSI AWd 5 spd, with all the mods in my profile in case someone is wondering, and i feel something weird happen while just cruising in 5th at about 65 mph. I pull over to check it out, and as soon as i look under there, all my gear oil is flowing out my tranny!!!!

The leak is in between the transfer case and the tranny, and when i jacked up the passenger side, more fluid poured out, meaning that the hole is kinda on the high side. The most likely culprit is something in the output shaft area.

Talon is off the road obviously, and now it looks like im dropping the tranny and transfer case, looking it all over, and replacing all my seals, hopefully doing my oil pan gasket, and a timing belt w/balance shaft removal as well.

I have been searching around for info, and have found quite a bit. I guess i am just looking to vent a bit, and see what some of the DSM veterans have to say about this/what else i should replace.

Sounds like its the tcase or trans axle seals.. youll find out once its up in the air. I think everything is leaking on my DSM except coolant and rear end fluid.

It can be the in put shaft seal ( which suck because you have to pull all the gears in the box to get to it otherwise the output shaft can be replace easily)
