Automatic Tranny Issues

The transmission is making a weird grinding/ "clack" noise while driving and it can be heard more while slowing down. Another weird thing that is happening is the car rolls down a decline while in "Park" as if it is in Neutral. The car shifts fine though without any slipping or anything. Any idea what might be going on? Thanks.

the lock out piece for when it is in park looks like it broke into pieces and its jumping everywhere in the tranny, lucky it hasnt damaged anything big at this point.

So does the trans need to be removed to fix this?

yes you do.

You are going to have to train it and then pull the pan undereath. See what chunks are in the pan, hopefully not to much. Inspect it very well, and see ### the damage appears
