Automatic tranny troubles

When I am driving my car at WOT it will climb great, until I let off. Then it will act as if it's gone into neutral and stay at about idle and then when I press on the gas the tach just climbs like it's still in neutral (no its not the torque converter). Then once it gets down to about 50 mph it goes back into gear. I don't know what is wrong but I cant really drive it until its fixed so any constructive advice at all would be appreciated.

What's an end clutch? And how would it do that?

It's the clutch that locks the input shaft to the output shaft making a 1:1 ratio and it's only 4 bolts to remove the end case of the trans to replace it.

But how would it essentially make me shift into neutral? I'm sorry for asking such stupid questions but im completley new the the auto tranny world.

It's a slipping clutch...

Had the same problem on my 95, end clutch. You dont have to pull the trans to change them eather.
